Richard J. Katz, LSRP
Vice President
Office: (908) 615-8451
Mr. Katz holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from Rutgers University and over 50 years of experience in the environmental field, acquired in the governmental, consulting, and private sectors. He also served as an officer in the United States Air Force, professional carpenter, and yes, even a broadcast meteorologist in Trenton, New Jersey and Austin, Texas. His accomplishments in the environmental field, however, extend far beyond those areas. He was “the start-up guy” for many of the new initiatives within the New Jersey Department Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in the 1970s and 1980s and, under Mr. Katz, PennJersey was a charter member of the LSP Coalition, a consortium of environmental firms that helped craft the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA).
Mr. Katz was in the first group to be certified as a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and served on the Executive Committee of the LSRP Association Board of Trustees as the Board Secretary. Mr. Katz is now semi-retired, but is available to consult on matters as needed.
