Risk
Assessment
At times, the development of a site-specific risk assessment to address the contamination is beneficial to our clients. Our LSRPs and Professional Geologists supervise the preparation of cost-effective risk assessment services to support the investigation and remediation of sites under Federal and State oversight. As a stakeholder in the development of NJDEP’s remediation standards, Mr. Ferguson has a detailed knowledge of the process, calculations, and assumptions used by NJDEP.
Risk assessments can range from developing a site-specific alternate remediation standard using NJDEP’s or PADEP’s guidance and calculators, to the broader federal requirements under CERCLA and TSCA. PennJersey specializes in the development of risk-based alternative strategies for the remediation in terms of both time and cost to assist in the management of our clients’ liability and ensure that human health and the environment are protected.
PennJersey has extensive risk assessment experience with:
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) using USEPA Superfund guidance
Development of site-specific migration to groundwater alternate remediation standards using the SPLP extraction and the SESOIL model
Using the PADEP Quick Domenico model to assess groundwater risk at landfills and other contaminated sites
We give you the most thorough Risk Assessment available. We want to make sure your property is safe, and that you and your team are as well.
