Colleen Lane

Geologist

Ms. Lane joined PennJersey Environmental in 2020. Her duties are varied and include fieldwork, data preparation,  and collaboration on the preparation of reports including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Preliminary Assessments, Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, and Solar Table Tops.

Prior to joining the PennJersey team, Ms. Lane worked as a geologist with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and with the New Jersey Geological and Water Survey.

Ms. Lane holds a Master of Environmental Science: Hydrology and Water Security from the University of Oklahoma. She completed her two undergraduate degrees from the University of Delaware: a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences.

Ms. Lane’s geological studies span the globe: she studied abroad in Fiji where her research and coursework focused on the geography, sustainability, conservation, impact of climate change, and the intersection of culture and climate. In the lower 48, Ms. Lane conducted significant fieldwork in multiple locations in the West.

Ms. Lane resides in Bucks County, PA with her soon-to-be husband, Mark. In her free time, she coaches girls volleyball for both East Coast Power Volleyball Club and Central Bucks High School South.
